Sister Winona Diego, Left just lost her husband, Francisco Diego Jr. The whole Branch was teary eyed over the loss of "Junior."

Elders Stewart and Dees, both from Arizona originally - Stewart is now from Utah. These missionaries have only been in Hana for 3 weeks.

It was a very emotional day for Mary as it was her last day before leaving to
home.

Clinton Diego - brother of Jr. Diego who just passed away.
He really liked my camera and wanted to get one like it. He was very friendly
and we visited for a long time after the meeting and at Winona's place that
evening.

He is a long term substitute teacher. He also coaches boys and girls basketball. He is married to
Ramona Diego, Winona's daughter.

Winona invited us to their family gathering under an awning in the house right behind the church. It was so nice to see them all. They were very kind.

The family gathered together for a fun sunday evening. They played card games and visited, and ate.
|
|
|

The family gets together each Sunday night at different family members houses. This was a meeting to plan the funeral services next Tuesday.

The family gathering was so fun to be a part of. They were very gracious to let us come.

This is the sign on their street. Many want to return to Tribal rule - or Royal rule again. There is a big movement to return Hawaii to the Hawaiians.
