Astological Consultant Jon Sylverson. Also works at the Fruit Market on the side. He was a very friendly guy and posed for this picture.

The wonderful thing about free samples... they are wonderful, and they're FREE!

Cute orangeish, pinkish color flowers were everywhere.

A face only a mother could love... OK, only HIS mother.

I love these flowers. They look like a bird to me.

The plume on top, and the beaks to the left?

Lisa, Maury & Bryson in the jungle

Greg & Noni in the trees

Elaine Malina is the Agriculture Supervisor at the Maui Tropical Planation. Her company owns most of the mountain behind the plantation

Elaine was very knowledgable and answered our questions about the plants and such.
See Elaine Video explaining about the Plantation

She has been on Maui for 24 years. They take care of the 60 acre farm.

William & Orlando showing their "Shaka"- the gardeners that keep the plantation beautiful

Greg sporting a new hairstyle - dreadlocks are cool! OK, it was really the tree's dreadlocks.

Bryson, Maury & Lisa posing under a huge shade tree.

This tree covered about 300 square feet or more in shade.

Another view under the huge tree. We commented that we would love that kind of shade at home!

On the way around the West side of the island.

Sad reminder of people who died on this road

I guess this Truck was "done" and it got pushed off the edge? Or it could have been an accident?

Either way, no one bothered retrieving it. There were lots of junked cars around.

I guess it is cheaper to scrape off the serial number and junk the car somewhere than to pay to take it to the dump?

Maury & Greg over a green valley

Museum near Kahakaloa village. We liked this picture

And this one too...

But this was our hands down favorite. They said they sold 500 hundred of these prints. They weren't cheap, either!

Noni Checking in with the kids - Apparantly there was a huge snow storm in Utah. Hmmm... sad, sad, sad...

Autie Julia's famous banana bread Stand in Kahakaloa village on the North West of Maui.

Noni talking to Randy, the fun guy selling the banana bread

The Banana Bread stand in Kahakaloa. Lisa dubbed this color "Maui Green" as it is the color of some Maui Green Grass.

Randy posing with the samples of the banana bread. We got the 3rd to the last loaf. Randy was anxious to sell the last 2 loafs and go fishing!

Noni, Randy and Gruner & Daniella from Germany

Gruner & Daniella (spelling?) from Germany showing the card we gave them. We saw them later at the blow hole. They were in Maui for 3 weeks. See Video

Mar 12, 2006 - Email from Daniela & Gunnar:
Hello from Germany to Utah! How are you doing?
We hope that you enjoyed the rest of your stay on Hawaii! We had a lot of fun, also on Oahu for the wedding of our friend. Now we are back in Germany and already had a look at your website, where we found all the holiday-memories, and also our pictures at the Blowhole...very nice!!  Now we would like to ask you for one big favour: could you please send us the picture from the Blowhole as a file in an email, so that we would have it in a bigger size? We would like to include this picture in our presentation and so it would be great to have it as a bigger size.
Thanks so much in advance, it was nice to meet you and thanks again for taking our picture! Best regards from Germany,
Daniela & Gunnar

Randy "rushing" us out so he could go fishing. He was quite the character.

Gruner saying goodbye to Randy

Ululani by the bay at the other side of Kahakaloa village. This is the lady that we saw last year. Her grandaughters danced the hula for us back then.

Kahakaloa Village. One of our favorite places in Maui as it is a small fishing village that looks so peaceful.

Greg & Noni at a spectacular view of the Kahakaloa bay

Bryson, Maury & Lisa at Kahakaloa Bay

George & Esther Brankenberry from Herriman Utah. We met them at this lookout point and also saw them in Lahaina later - A very cute, friendly couple. See Brackenberry Video

The Blow Hole - Greg posing by the powerful swelling of water.  See Blow Hole Video

Daniella & Gruner at the Blow Hole. They were so friendly and had excellent English. They said they studied it for years in school.

Waiting for a big burst of water...
See Video after we all got Soaked by big wave!

Wow! The best one we caught on camera!

Only a small one... they came every minute or so.

Gruner & Daniella wating for another...

Greg & Noni posing at the blow hole waiting for a big one...

Better...

Here was one of the biggest ones we saw

Lisa & Maury at the famous Lahaina Front Street Banyon Tree

Apparently it was quite windy there?

View of Noni, Maury & Lisa under one side of the Banyon Tree

Maury & Lisa in front of the park under the tree. It is only one tree that was planted a hundred and fifty years ago.
