I Wonder Why…

I wonder why my brain freezes when I try to write. 
My thoughts turn into puffs of fog.
My fingers turn into ice.

My throat gets dry; my tongue goes numb.
My toes hurt.
My knees knock.
My ears pop!
My stomach growls.

When I write, I feel relieved.
My stomach doesn’t growl any more.
My knees don’t knock.
My toes don’t hurt.
My tongue is not numb.
My throat gets better.
My thoughts are clear.
My brain can think.
