Greg was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. When he was
two months old his family moved to Orem, Utah where his
Dad (Dale H. Davies from Hill Spring, Alberta Canada)
attended Brigham Young University and completed his
Masters degree in French. He had taught Industrial Arts
at William Abrahart High School in Calgary. He wanted a
change. He had served a mission for the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) in France and
spoke French fluently. When Greg turned two years old
they moved back to Calgary. Two years later, when Greg
was four years old, his dad was killed by a drunk
driver. His mother (Elizabeth Spencer Davies of
Magrath, Alberta Canada) was left to raise their five
children by herself (Roger 10, Randy 8, Laurel 6,
Greg 4 & Leanne 2).
Three years later when Greg was seven years old they
moved to Magrath, Alberta Canada where his mother was
born and raised and where her parents Clyde & Hazel (Ririe)
Spencer lived. She was able to work as an elementary
school teacher there with her teacher's certificate. She
went to night school for a few years and completed her
degree. Greg loved playing football, basketball and all
sports. He was fortunate be able to work for Jim
Anderson on his pig farm from age 12-17. He loved to act
and was cast in many school and community productions
like The Fantastics, and Amahl and the Night
Visitors. After High School Greg went to Ricks
College in Rexburg Idaho (Now BYU-Idaho) where he
quickly met and fell in love with Noni Flake from
Snowflake Arizona. The next semester Greg returned
to Canada and attended the University of Lethbridge for
a semester before being called to serve in the
California San Diego Spanish Speaking Mission from June
1983-85. Noni returned to Ricks and later attended BYU
in Provo. When Greg returned home from his mission, they
were married on June 29th 1985. A year later, Spencer
was born in Magrath. Greg & Noni then moved back to
Ricks, then to BYU in Provo where Gentry was born. After
graduating from BYU, Greg & Noni moved to Hamilton,
Ontario Canada were Greg was Production Manager for O.C.
Tanner Company in Burlington, Ontario Canada. Braedon
and Kyler were born there as the family lived in
Hamilton for 6 years. The family then moved back to Utah
and settled in South Jordan where they have lived since
1994. Kelson was born in 1996 to complete the family.
Greg has been self employed as an insurance agent since
1997. (see Greg's work site at

Greg loves BYU Cougar Football where he and his cousin
Jon Wright have had season tickets and attended every
home game since 1999. He also loves playing
hockey. He has been playing Roller Hockey with his son
Gentry and Jon & his brothers since 2004 (see the Hockey
Page Button). Greg & Noni were also fortunate
enough to travel to Hawaii each year from 2000-05. They
love Maui, and especially Hana. Greg is a High
Priest and was just released as Financial Clerk to serve
as ward Young Men President since 2004. He is a
Jordan River Temple Worker but had to take time off
since he had to grow a beard for the Nauvoo Pageant. He
loves to play the guitar, piano and sing. And of
