Just before Christmas 2006 we got this email from Noni's Parents:
14 Dec. 2005

Dear Family,

“I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas”……………Far Far Away on the African Planes, Shepherds we old heard the glorious strains……………

Dear Family,
Yes,….we will be “Home for Christmas!” We have tried to break the news gently to you for the last couple of days with our e-mail Christmas Carol hints. It seems that we are making a habit of abrupt endings to our missionary service. We apologize for the very short notice about our return, but this is about as fast as we could let you know our plans...

I told Noni that I think her parents are coming home for Christmas. She said "No, they don't come home 'till February."  Well, here they are!  We had a family reunion to hear their homecoming report from Africa. They served in Sierra Leon with the measles epidemic and helping in that area of the world. They were in Siberia before Lowry broke his hip. After a time of healing they were re-assigned to Sierra Leone in West Africa. Here are a few of pictures from the event and some of the pictures they showed. Those attending: Lowry, Maylene, Noni, Tamra, Mayona, Lorene, Maury, Their familes and Wilbur Flake, Lowry's Brother. Krista & Lathan's familes were in Oregon & Idaho respectively.
