We hope you are enjoying a wonderful Christmas Season
and that the coming year is filled with joy for you.
This Christmas has been especially sweet for us as we
enjoy our five sons at home.
Kelson will be 14 in January. He is a conscientious 8th
grader enjoying a variety of classes. He is currently
serving as a tech guy for Echoes of Christmas and
finishing his last three merit badges for his Eagle
Scout Award. He keeps very busy with friends, guitar,
filming, and various computer projects. He managed to
purchase a trampoline and have it delivered while Noni
and Greg were out of town for a few days.
Kyler is nearly 6 feet tall at age 16 and enjoying High
School. He especially enjoys his multimedia class and
is becoming acquainted with all sorts of new programs he
is enjoying. He is an expert at origami and is speedy
at getting his chores done at home. He rides his bike
to school and has great moves on his rip stick.
Braedon is 19 and 6’1. He received his Eagle Scout
Award Fall of 2008 and graduated from Bingham High last
June. He worked at the Nauvoo Mercantile while we were
in Nauvoo this summer and is now working at Kneader’s.
He just received a raise and was promoted to be the deli
manager. He enjoys creating with Flash and took three
Institute classes this Fall.
We
are very happy to enjoy Gentry’s company since he
returned from his mission the end of September. Greg, Noni, and Gentry’s Grandmother, Elizabeth, enjoyed
seeing much of his mission and especially meeting those
Gentry knew while he was a missionary in Hungary. Gentry
has treated us to some great Hungarian cooking and we
have enjoyed hearing of his experiences and listening to
him bear his testimony as a companion speaker to High
Councilmen in our Stake. He is working at Convergys and
returning to BYU in January.
Spencer has had a great year working and attending
school at BYU-Idaho. When a temporary job took him
soliciting to the door of an old boss, the boss
immediately offered him better employment and drove
across town the next day to finalize things with Spencer
because he didn’t have Spencer’s phone number. Spencer
is a dedicated and energetic worker with a wonderful
sense of humor. We all enjoy his guitar and chess
skills.
Greg
continues to enjoy a wide variety of creative pursuits.
We are grateful for the great care he takes of us as a
husband and father. He enjoys playing hockey weekly
with Kelson, Spencer and Gentry in a local roller
league. They even placed first in their league. You can
see his great web-sites at
echoesofchristmas.com and
nauvoopageant.net He sang
the roles of angel and shepherd for Echoes of
Christmas and also played Charles Makepeace in the Nauvoo
Pageant this year.
Noni enjoys being a wife
and mother and striving to keep her boys fed and
nurtured. She especially enjoys our service with the
Nauvoo Pageant and the sweet associations and
opportunities that brings to our lives. She also finds
great joy in service here in our ward and in the temples
nearby.
Our
hearts are filled with gratitude at this Christmas
Season for the bounties we enjoy and the blessings of
the Restored Gospel which enrich our daily lives. We
are especially grateful for the Gift of our Savior—His
life, His Atonement and His continuous love and
encouragement for each of us.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for a joyful New Year!
